The "Little Putterheads"  -  Ages 3 to 6
(Available Year Round!)

Introduce your child to the fun and great game of golf at a very early age.  They are ready!  Children ages 3 to 6 meet for four consecutive one hour weekly lessons at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings year round and on Friday mornings in the summer.  Parents are encouraged but not required to attend.  We combine learning golf on our three practice greens and golf range with activities on our miniature golf courses.  For the late fall and winter classes, we utilize our golf academy studio, indoor Madison landmark miniature golf course and classrooms to address all areas of programming.  Golf clubs specifically designed for this age group are used during the lesson to ensure that we provide everything you need for your child to have fun learning.  Watch the smile on your child's face when they get the golf ball airborne!

"Junior Linksters" (ages 3 - 7)
(Available Year Round!)

The junior linksters is the next step for our youngest juniors.  Designed for ages 3 to 7, this program will advance their learning of the game with more focused instruction on swing mechanics, with miniature golf course fun.  The juniors will meet in weekly one hour sessions for four consecutive weeks.  Sessions in Summer are on Thursdays at 10:15 and 11:30 am and on Fridays at 10:15 am.   During the school year, the sessions begin at 4:00 pm on Thursdays.  This program includes 20 minute rotations on: the golf range, practice greens, and the miniature golf course.  For the late fall and winter classes, we utilize our golf academy studio, indoor putting green, indoor Madison landmark miniature golf course and classrooms to address all areas of programming.

• Designed for beginning junior golfers with little or no experience
• Classes consist of 5 to 8 juniors
• Classes are 75 minutes for four consecutive weeks (5 total hours of golf instruction)
• Cost of $95 includes a pass for one month of free bucket upgrades on the golf range and one month of unlimited academy practice with half price range balls.
• Week 1: Overview of golf clubs, intro to grip, stance & posture
• Week 2: Review of grip, stance & posture, introduction to full swing
• Week 3: Short game (putting & chipping)
• Week 4: Introduction of woods, hybrids & long irons
• Add just $109 for unlimited play 2009 par 3 membership

Junior Golf 101 Level 2

• Designed for experienced junior golfer, or juniors who have completed junior golf 101 level 1
• Classes coinsist of 5 to 8 juniors
• Classes are 75 minutes each week for four consecutive weeks (5 total hours of golf instruction) 
• Cost of $95 includes a pass for one month of free bucket upgrades on the golf range and one month of unlimited academy practice with half price range balls.
• Week 1: Set up and Full swing review.  Each student will be video taped to find individual swing flaws to work on in following weeks.
• Week 2: Work on individual swing flaws and introduce ball flight laws.
• Week 3: Chipping, putting, bunker play, in three 20 minute stations.
• Week 4: 15 minutes of warm up followed by a short Q&A then on to the course
• Add just $109 for unlimited play 2009 par 3 membership
   

2009 Junior Golf 101 Level 2 Schedule

Ages 7-11

 High School Elite

The High School Elite program is specifically designed for junior golfers in grades 7 thru 12 either on high school golf teams or aspiring to make the team.  This is a more serious approach to learning the game, making lower scores more obtainable.

Classes are taught by Derek Schnarr, Head Golf Professional & Vitense Golf Academy Director

Groups are limited in size (3 to 5 in each class)

Four Weeks, one hour each week

Classes Tuesday thru Saturday at 4:30pm & 6:00pm

Cost is $160 per golfer

Session 1 (Full Swing Emphasis)

• Introduction, Initial Evaluation & Video Swing Assessment
• Video Analysis (V-1 digital software) and Full Swing Practice
• Shot making and Full Swing Practice
• Full Swing Practice and Mental Approach to Golf

Session 2 (Short Game Emphasis)

• Tee Shots / Course Management
• Putting Stroke Video Analysis (V-1 Software) & Putting practice
• Short Game (pitching,chipping), playing to safe zones
• Full Swing Review / Smart Practice techniques (range vs pre-golf)

(Life Lessons Through Golf)

This program is designed to “Teach Life Lessons Through Golf.”  Each week there will be a new theme; Such as; passion, honesty, respect, and how to win and lose gracefully.  There will be 15 minutes for discussion followed by 45 minutes of golf instruction.  The class is taught by Vitense Golf Academy Instructors as well as help from local high school players.  The cost is $75 per session.
